There will be funeral services at 9 a.m. on Thursday. Jan. 25, 2018 at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Dominic Church, 77 Lucius Ave. in Youngstown for Ann M. Urbanek, 92, who passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, Jan. 20, 2018. She was born May 8, 1925, in Ellwood City, Pa., the daughter of Stanislaus and Helen (Voss) Yager. Ann was a wonderful homemaker. She always made sure the household ran smoothly and she took great pride in raising their four sons. She worked for 10 years for the Federal Government Department of IRS in Pittsburgh, and then she went on to work for 30 years at Ohio Bureau of Employment Services in Youngstown. Her husband, Leo J. Urbanek, whom she married Aug. 22, 1959, passed away Sept. 1, 1995. She was a member of St. Dominic Church, OPERS, Holiday Health Spa, and an associate member of Catholic War Vets. She was a health enthusiast and enjoyed golfing. Most of all, Ann enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was always there to help anyone in need. Ann will always be remembered lovingly by three sons, Lee (Julie) Urbanek of Tennessee, Michael J. Urbanek, and Gregory J. Urbanek both of Youngstown; two grandchildren, Leanne Urbanek, Gregory J. Urbanek Jr., and two great-grandchildren, Carlita G. Urbanek and Alonaha Urbanek; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and three sisters, Helen Yager, Betty Sillia, and Irene Brown. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Jeffrey; sister, Mary Yager; and two brothers, Steve and Andy Yager. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
