Obituary

Youngstown--Anna Mae Marrie, 87, left her temporal home and entered into Glory, safe at last, into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on December 7, 2018. She was born in Youngstown, on April 8, 1931 the daughter of Angelo & Maria Dascenzo Sabella who were from Agnone, Campobasso, Italy. Anna Mae’s first love was her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was very sweet and kind. She also loved her children and their spouses with all her heart. She loved her grandchildren very much and was happy seeing them and hearing about them. Her special joy was her great-grandchildren and she delighted in them! She loved people deeply from her heart and was a friend to all! She “adopted” many people as family throughout the years. Two special people were Lydia Gonzalez who was like a daughter to her and Richard Shehadi who read the bible to her daily. She was the “Bingo Queen” and won the game often. She was an expert at solving crossword puzzles and did so with a pen. She loved her food especially Italian food and barbeque potato chips. Her favorite bible verse, which she quoted often was Luke 1:37, “For nothing will be impossible with God.” She was formally employed at Brown’s Drug Store and General Electric. Her beloved husband, Robert Leo Marrie, her two brothers and two sisters, Dominic Sabella, Anthony Sabella, Clara Pangello and Doris Sabella, preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory six children, Karen (Chuck) Swanson of Youngstown, Terry (Diane) Marrie of Hermitage, PA, Michael (Debbie) Marrie Altamonte Springs, FL, Linda (Christopher) Yohman of New Bedford, PA, Glenn (Donna) Marrie of Youngstown, Robert Marrie of Poland, 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The family wants to thank our Heavenly Father who loaned her to us all these years. We also want to thank the staff that loved her at Guardian Health Care of Youngstown, and the great people that would pray for her and those who visited her. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, 2018 at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Cecilio Cuevas officiating. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to the family to be distributed amongst Anna Mae’s favorite charities. Family and friends may visit the Book of Memories at www.rossifunerals.com to view this tribute and send condolences to Anna Mae's family.
