John Rosko, 98, passed away early Monday morning, Oct. 15, 2018. John was born June 17, 1920 in Youngstown, the son of Anthony and Cecilia (Horvath) Rosko. He worked for Commercial Shearing and had drove truck for P.I.N.I. Motors Express. He enjoyed polkas, going to the circus, and watching the Cleveland Indians. John’s wife, Jeannette (Torisk) whom he married June 5, 1943, passed away June 21, 1999. He will be remembered lovingly by his daughter, Marsha Koscelansky; four grandchildren Ken (Loni) Krawchyk, Frank Krawchyk, Debbie (Bob) Hyziak, and Sharri (Dave) Smith; eight great grandchildren, Jordan (Ryan Spatholt) Krawchyk, Taylor (Mike) Sturm, Christine and Heather Hyziak, Karley and Aubrey Smith, Michael Costello, and Tara (Matt) Rollins; and three great, great grandchildren, Anthony Hyziak, Selah Shaffer, and Gia Spatholt. Besides his parents and wife, John was preceded in death by his son, John C. Rosko; great grandson, Kyle Krawchyk; three sisters, Rose Grey, Dorothy Shomacher, and Ann Kukla; and a brother, Charles Rosko. Family and friends may pay their respects from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19 at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman. There will be funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20 at the funeral home where friends may call again from 10:30 a.m. until time of the services.
