NORTH LIMA – Ruth Zapotocky, 88, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, Sept. 8, 2018.
Ruth was born July 1, 1930, in Farrell, Pa., the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Sebest) Zapotocky.
Ruth retired after 40 years of service from the accounting department of Strouss Department Store.
She was a faithful and active member of St. Dominic Church, its Altar and Rosary Society, and where she occasionally played the organ for church services.
She enjoyed crafting and was part of a local craft group.
Ruth will be remembered lovingly by her sister, Charlotte Donchess; her two nieces, Gloria (Pat) Traficant and Carol (Ron) Kuch; two nephews, John (Linda) Yencha and Tom (Marilyn) Yencha; and several loving great-nieces and great-nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Betty and twin Theresa; and a brother, Joseph Zapotocky Jr.
There will be a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at St. Dominic Church, where family and friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church prior to Mass.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home on South Avenue in Boardman.
