Struthers—Denise M. (Herchik) Howe, 59, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 21, 1958 in Youngstown, the daughter of Michael W. and Josephine Marie (Congemi) Herchik. Denise was a 1977 graduate of Ursuline High School and a member of St. Angela Merici (Sacred Heart) Church. Denise was kindhearted to everyone she met. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She loved to cook, bake, wood-crafting, ceramics, DIY projects, and remodeling and decorating her home. She especially loved watching Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel. Denise will always be remembered lovingly by her mother, Josephine Marie (Congemi) Herchik of Campbell; husband, William T. Howe, whom she married Oct. 22, 1991; two sons, Anthony Conti (fiancé Tammy Bracknell) of Birmingham, AL., and William J. Howe II of Struthers; two brothers, Michael (Sharon) Herchik of Canton, and Glenn Herchik (Renee Vitullo); granddaughter, Alexis Conti; and granddaughter Lilyona Michelle, due this December; four nephews, Matthew and Taylor Herchik, Jason Peterson and Jordan Vesco; four nieces, Jamie (Aaron) Herchik Gaynor, Andrea Herchik, Rachel Peterson, and Laura Vesco; two great-nieces, Bella Dutton, and Sienna Peterson; two great-nephews, Alden and Luke Peterson; two sisters-in law, Mary Ellen Herchik, and Patti Howe; and numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She preceded in death by her father. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, Aug. 22 from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at St. Angela Merici (Sacred Heart) Church, 397 S. Jackson Street in Youngstown, followed by a 11 a.m. Memorial Mass with Rev. Kevin Peters officiating.
