Obituary for Carmen D. White

New Castle, PA.—There will be funeral services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman for Carmen D. White, 79, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 26, 1938, in Youngstown, the son of the late Orlando and Carmel (Davanzo) White. Carmen was a musician who played the drums since the age of 12. He was best known as the drummer for the Joe Fedorchak Band. He formerly owned and operated the Colonial Art Gallery in Boardman, and Vinylume Products, Inc. with his father and brother. Carmen was the 1995 Grammy Award Winner of the American-Slovenian Polka Foundation and was a charter member of the Penn-Ohio Polka Pals. Later in life, Carmen discovered he had an artistic talent in painting. He also enjoyed golfing. He will always be remembered lovingly by his wife, the former Marilyn Snezic, whom he married November 7, 1997; three children, Cindi (John) Campbell, Flecka (Scott) Cochran, and Paul (Heather) White; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brother, Jack White. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Deidre Savo; sister, Ursula Nemergut; sister-in-law, Helen White; and brother-in-law, Raymond Nemergut. Friends may pay their respects from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 17, 2018 at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman, and again from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 prior to the service at the funeral home.
