YOUNGSTOWN – Charles G. Biddle, 95, formerly of Youngstown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 4, 2018.
He was born March 25, 1923, in Youngstown, the son of the late Walter and Ann (Savko) Biddle. He was raised by his aunt, Myrtle Veliquette, from the age of 3.
Charles retired from Wean United – United Rolls in 1985. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows at St. Matthias Church. He played fast pitch softball as a pitcher until he was 60 years of age and was a member of the Ohio Fast Pitch Hall of Fame. Charles was an avid Notre Dame and The Ohio State Fan. He also enjoyed watching Bruce Drennan.
His wife, the former Dorothy A. Mascardine, whom he married Sept. 29, 1956, passed away Sept. 9, 2013.
Charles will always be remembered lovingly by his two daughters, Carol (Andy) Wozniak of Strongsville, and Cathy Rivera of Parma; three grandchildren, Mark (Chelsea) Wozniak of Bixby, Okla., Steven Wozniak of Strongsville, and Tessa Rivera of Parma; two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Grayson Wozniak; brother Ron Good of Tennessee; and many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman. A Mass of the Repose of the Soul will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018, at Our Lady of Sorrows at St. Matthias Church in Youngstown with the Rev. John Jerek officiating.
