Columbiana—Minnie Hollingbery, 94, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, June 26, 2018. She was born March 12, 1924, in Youngstown, the daughter of Frank and Rose (Pompa) Vingi. Minnie worked over 40 years at General Electric. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Family Church. Her husband, Theodore Hollingbery whom she married Dec. 9, 1963, passed away Dec. 25, 2014. Minnie will always be remembered lovingly by her daughter, Joan (Terry) Packard; and two grandchildren, Alexa and Chase. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Ernest Vingi; and three sisters, Jennie McLellan, Mary Kerti, and Yolanda Kratko. There will be no calling hours or services. The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff at St. Mary’s Alzheimer’s Center, especially her caregiver Barb, for the kind and compassionate care shown to Minnie.
