Obituary for Kathleen (Stash) Turek

YOUNGSTOWN – Private services were held for Kathleen (Stash) Turek, 70, who passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, following an extensive stay at University Hospital in Cleveland.
Kathleen was born Nov. 2, 1947, in Youngstown, the daughter of George and Genevieve (Lepsik) Stash.
Kathleen was a homemaker, and she loved to bake and cook. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved animals, especially her dog, Turo.
Kathleen will always be remembered lovingly by her husband, George Turek, whom she married April 29, 1979; two daughters, Lisa (Jeffrey) Patrone and Jennifer (Matthew) Combs; five grandchildren, Samantha, Mathias, Joseph, Christian and Troy; and brother George (Serene) Stash; she loved her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Danny and Marilyn Turek, Michael and Christine Turek, and Brian and Debbie Turek; and her best friend, Liz Brode.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Karem Harth, M.D., Matthew Eckinger, and the entire staff in Lerner Tower 7 for the kind and compassionate care shown to Kathleen.
As suggested by her family, monetary contributions may be made to the family, who will determine an appropriate charity of remembrance.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
Family and friends may visit the Book of Memories at www.rossifunerals.com to view this tribute and send condolences to Kathleen’s family.
