Obituary for Lena M. "Lee" Centofanti

POLAND – Private services were held for Lena “Lee” M. Centofanti, 95, who passed away peacefully Saturday, April 7, 2018.
She was born Nov. 2, 1922, in Sulmona, Italy, the daughter of Paul and Assunta (Tirimacco) Centofanti.
Lee graduated from Youngstown University cum laude with a degree in Education, where she was inducted in Kappa Delta Honor Society. She taught at Fifth Street School in Struthers, retiring in 1983.
Lee was a member of the Youngstown University Alumni, a member of the local, state, and national teachers associations, Holy Family seniors, Catholic Collegiate, Youngstown Opera Guild, Friends of the Poland Library, and the Poland K-Cetts. She was a member of the Holy Family Church.
She and her husband, Rudolph enjoyed many years of traveling the world prior to his passing in October of 2001.
Lee is survived by three generations of the Centofanti and Tirimacco families. She also leaves sister-in-law Erma Galose, and her family; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Per Lee’s wishes, there were no calling hours.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
