Dennis Joseph  Hollarn
Dennis Joseph Hollarn, 66, passed away Thursday evening, Jan. 18, 2018. He was born Jan. 31, 1951, in Youngstown, the son of Merl and Madeline (Williams) Hollarn. Dennis was a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and courageously served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from W.C.I. Steel as a pipe inspector. He was of the Catholic faith. Dennis was a member of the United Steel Workers Union No. 1375. In his spare time, he liked playing slot machines, video games, gardening, and enjoying a few beers. Dennis will always be remembered lovingly by his wife, the former Betty Jo Pagan, whom he married Feb. 21, 1976; two children, Pamela (Andrew) Jones of Orlando, FL, and Dennis Hollarn of Boardman; five grandchildren, Andrew, Reagan, Buddy, Arden, and Rece Jones; and his beloved cat, Frankie. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Merl Hollarn. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, followed by a 7 p.m. funeral service at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman. The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Rick, Rob, Carl and Sarah for their friendship and care of Dennis and his family during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions may be made to the family.
