NORTH LIMA - Martha Prest Raseta, 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017, with her loving family by her side.
Martha was born Nov. 10, 1924, in Campbell, the daughter of Lazo and Anna (Tirpack) Millich.
She was a 1942 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. Martha worked 25 years at General Electric Company.
She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish at St. Matthias Church and a former member of Golden Echoes, Saxon Club Retirees, the G.E. 25th Century Club and the G.E. Luncheon Club. She was in a “500” card club with lifelong friends. Her favorite pass-times were crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, board games, reading, country music and traveling. Martha loved sharing time with her family, especially playing cards.
Her husband, John L. Prest Sr., whom she married July 2, 1949, passed away June 6, 1968. Her second husband, Adam Raseta Jr., whom she married June 14, 1980, passed away, April 7, 1996.
She leaves two sons, John “Jack” L. (Jennifer) Prest of Boardman, and David “Corky” (Mary) Prest of Youngstown; daughter Marsha (James) Morgan of North Lima; stepson George (Sandra) Raseta of Florida; brother Edward (Patty) Millich of Lake Milton; sister Rose “Annie” Millich of Youngstown; four grandsons, PJ (Fran), Rick, Matt (Chrissy) Prest, and Joshua Prest; great-granddaughter Sierra Prest; great-grandson, Cameron Prest; seven step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and other extended family members.
Besides her parents and husbands, Martha was preceded in death by eight brothers, Steve, Dan, Nick, Mike, John, Lazo Jr., Pete and Dave; and sister Lillian Millich.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman and again from 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish at St. Matthias Church, 915 Cornell St. in Youngstown, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. John Jerek celebrating.
