NEW MIDDLETOWN - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville, with Rev. Larry Frient celebrating the Mass for Norma (Barone) Altiero, 91, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017. She was born March 24, 1926, in Struthers, the daughter of Dominick and Lucy (Morell) Barone. Norma was a 1944 graduate of Struthers High School. She was a homemaker and owned a florist shop in Boardman. She was a great cook and loved to sing and dance. Norma was a devout Catholic and to Patron Saint Anthony. Her husband Albert A. Altiero, whom she married April 7, 1951, passed away Sept. 23, 1988. She will always be remembered lovingly by her seven children, Gary (Cheryl) Altiero, Dorie Riley, Greg (Heidi) Altiero, Sam Altiero, Robert Altiero, Terri Altiero, and Brian (Renee) Altiero; eight grandchildren, Gene (Shannon) Altiero, Alex (Matt) Fultz, Angie (fiance Marty Niles) Altiero, Al Altiero, Dani Altiero, Sami Altiero, and Rebecca and Jake Wetherill; four great-grandchildren, Owen Fultz, twins, Evan and Ashton Fultz, and Harley Ann Altiero; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lou Barone and Dorothy Stankish; brother James Barone; and sister-in-law Theresa Barone. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
