YOUNGSTOWN There will be funeral services held at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home followed by a
10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, St. Matthias Church with Rev. John Jerek celebrating the mass, for Joseph P. "Mickhol" Mickholtzick, 81, who passed away Friday afternoon, Nov. 24.
Joseph was born Sept. 10, 1936, in Youngstown, the son of Joseph and Helen
(Pekarcik) Mickholtzick.
He worked at Ward Baking Co. and retired from McDonald Steel. Joseph enjoyed cars, hunting and fishing, especially salmon fishing on Lake Ontario. He loved all types of domestic and wild animals. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School.
Joseph will be remembered lovingly by his brother, James (Marilyn) Mickholtzick of Boardman; nephew Scott (Lori) Mickholtzick of Canfield; niece Dr. Sandra (Jason) Glagola of Cleveland; great nieces, Lauren Smaldino, Elizabeth Glagola, and Aubrey Mickholtzick; great nephew, Robert Glagola; and cousins, Joann Riner and Donna Jo Riner.
Besides his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his nephew, Robert David.
Friends may call on Monday, Nov. 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman.
