Obituary for Richard A. Spagnola

Richard A. Spagnola, 79
YOUNGSTOWN - There will be funeral services at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Christine Church, with the Rev. John Keehner celebrating for Richard A. Spagnola, 79, who passed away peacefully on Sat. Oct. 21, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Health Center, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Feb. 19, 1938, in Youngstown, the son of Joseph and Stella (Julius) Spagnola.
He was a 1956 graduate of South High School and attended Youngstown State University. He served in the U.S. Army. Richard was employed by the U.S. Postal Service, retiring after 37 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, the former Katherine Bees; daughters Anne (Steven) Moc and Kathy (Paul) Neibarger; granddaughters Katie and Maggie Moc, and Mia and Alex Neibarger; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Joseph.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
Memorial donations in Richard’s name may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society or Second Harvest Food Bank.
