Obituary for Antonette M. (Centofanto) Black

Antonette M.  (Centofanto) Black
Antonette M. (Centofanto) Black, 96, passed away peacefully on Fri. Oct. 13, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 12, 1921, in Mt. Pleasant, Pa., the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Santore) Motto. Antonette was a homemaker and also worked for 10 years at Westinghouse. She was a member of Holy Apostles Parish at St. Stephen of Hungary Church. She enjoyed reading, watching movies and Dancing with the Stars, fishing with her husband, and going to casinos, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots fan. Antonette will always be remembered lovingly by her husband, Phil Black, whom she married Sept. 1, 1973; two sons, Robert Centofanto, and Anthony J. (Lynne) Centofanto; six grandchildren, Nadine (Tom) Keville, Lynn (Chris) Menard, Tony Centofanto, Todd (Erin) Centofanto, Troy (Carrie) Centofanto, and Cady Centofanto; six great-grandchildren, Shaelin Rose Keville, Matthew and Jade Menard, Carissa Centofanto, Hunter, and Tyler Grimes; four step-children, Terry (Sherri) Black, Karen (Hans) Basler, Colleen Nader, and Kathy (Kevin) Brennaman; eight step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Elaine Waters Duckworth of Washington, Pa., Janet Petrosky Evans of Boardman, Joyce (Al) Firmstone of Pulaski, Pa., and Peggy (Art) Schroyer of Chicago, Il. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter-in-law, Rose Centofanto; and step-son-in-law, Richard Nader. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, at Holy Apostles Parish at St. Stephen of Hungary Church, 854 Wilson Ave., in Youngstown, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Joseph S. Rudjak celebrating. Interment will take place at St. Pius X Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, Pa. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
