Carmen I. Diaz, 77
YOUNGSTOWN - There will be funeral services at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman for Carmen I. Diaz, 77, who passed away Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Nov. 6, 1939, in Puerto Rico, the daughter of Angel Garcia and Juana Perez.
Carmen was a homemaker who loved to cook for her family. Her home was always open to everyone. She also enjoyed gardening and was very meticulous about caring for her yard and flowers. She was a member of the Church of God in Youngstown.
Her husband, Francisco Diaz Sr., whom she married Oct. 24, 1955, passed away Jan. 5, 2002.
Carmen will always be remembered lovingly by her four children, Frank Diaz Jr. of Youngstown, Iris Diaz of Youngstown, Migdalia (Michael) McClendon of Boardman, and Betsaida (Christopher) Reading of Pequa, Pa.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother Ismael (Maria) Garcia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
