Obituary for Randall E. Vallett

Randall E.  Vallett
Randall E. Vallett, 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 4, 2017. He was born August 27, 1927, in Camden, NJ, the son of John and Lillian (Knauf) Vallett. He was a 1945 graduate of South High School. He worked for 35 years at L.T.V. Steel as an ultra sonic pipe tester. Randall was a member of St. Columba Cathedral and the United Steelworkers Local Union. His wife, the former Edilia R. Flask whom he married July 20, 1949, passed away February 14, 1994. He enjoyed boxing and taught his son at a very early age to box. His other hobbies included enjoying vintage cigars, boating at Lake Milton, fishing, bowling, electronics, and eating Hershey Chocolate Bars, which were his favorite. Randall will always be remembered lovingly by his son, Randy (Cindy) Vallett of Canfield; and grandson, Brandon T. Vallett. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by sister, Mary Ellen Vallett. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 10, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman, followed by a 3 p.m. funeral service with the Very Rev. Msgr. Peter M. Polando celebrating. The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Ivy Woods Manor and St. Elizabeth Boardman Campus for the kind and compassionate care shown to Randall.
