Obituary for Carl A. DiTullio

Carl A. DiTullio, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. He was born November 10, 1924 in Youngstown, the son of Frank and Josephine (Borelli) DiTullio. He courageously served his county in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was stationed in Casablanca, Dakar Africa and then served in Cairo, Egypt overseeing the Italian prisoners. Carl worked for GF Business Equipment for 43 years and then went on to work for Elliot, Heller and Mass Law Firm. His wife, Hilda DiTullio whom he married May 11, 1946, passed away June 24, 2004. He was a member of St. Dominic Church. Carl was Scout Master for Troop 21. He loved making pizzelles for everyone. Carl will always be remembered by his son, Ron A. DiTullio of North Lima; daughter, Carla Marie (John) Yost of Tuscon, AZ; three grandchildren, Christopher (Amy) DiTullio of Hudson, Brian (Andrea) DiTullio of Poland, and Melanie Yost of Phoenix AZ; and four great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Isabella, Michael and Vincenzo DiTullio. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brother, Dominic DiTullio; and three sisters, Chancey Giovanni, Antoinette Celano, and Theresa Burnside. Friends may call from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 9 at St. Dominic Church, 77 Lucius Avenue in Youngstown, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman.
