Obituary for Erina DiVito

There will be funeral services at 9 a.m. on Friday, September 8 at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers for Erina DiVito, 92, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 3, 2017. She was born February 21, 1925, in Bugnara, Italy, the daughter of Francesco and Filomena (LaMarca) DiTommaso and immigrated to the United States in 1953. She worked for Weatherbee Coates and retired from Moyer Slack Company. She was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Church. Her husband, Antonio DiVito whom she married March 9, 1950, passed away March 13, 2016. Erina's pride and joy was her garden. She loved spending time gardening, and baking, especially her biscotti and ciambellas. Erina will always be remembered lovingly by her daughter, Nicolina "Nicki" (Mario) Finocchi of Canfield; three grandchildren, Michael (Julia) Finocchi of North Lima, Marco Finocchi of Columbus, and Giorgio (Erin) Finocchi of Columbus; four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Bella, Scotlyn, and Leo; and sister-in-law, Nina DiVito. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Lola (Aldo) D'Andrea; brother, Emilio (Anna) DiTommaso; and brother-in-law, Gennaro "Vic" DiVito. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman.
