Obituary for Christine A. "Tina" Martin
Christine A. "Tina" (Passarelli) Martin, 77, passed away early Monday morning, Aug. 21 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Tina was born April 27, 1940 in Youngstown, the daughter of Mark and Josephine (Orlando) Passarelli. Tina worked as a Secretary for the family business, Passarelli Bros. Towing. She was employed by Mahoning County for twenty-seven years, working in their Marriage Department and retiring last year from the Coroner's Office. She graduated from Boardman High School in 1958. Tina loved spending time with her grandchildren and cooking Sunday meals for the family. She enjoyed attending concerts at Millcreek Park. Tina leaves behind her daughter, Kimberly (Michael) Madej, her sons Mark (Bonnie) Martin and Charles Martin; granddaughters, Kaitlin and Karly Brogley; and step-grandchildren, Lauren and Adam Madej and Shawna Hendricks. Besides her parents; Tina was preceded in death by her companion and "love of her life" Richard Kennedy who passed away Nov. 1, 2014; her sister Carol Sbrolla and brother-in-law James Sbrolla. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017 at St. Christine Church. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman and again on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. prior to Mass at St. Christine Church. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Joseph Ohr YSU Scholarship for Forensic Science. Thank you to the staff at Austin Woods and MVI Hospice for taking care of our mom. Thank you to all the family and friends who visited mom.
