Obituary for Rose DiGennaro

Rose DiGennaro
Rose (Moronti) DiGennaro, 79, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017.
Rose was born June 29, 1938, in Lowellville, OH, the daughter of Carmine and Mary Anna (Capone) Moronti.
Rose graduated from Lowellville High School in 1956. She married Rocco DiGennaro, Sr. on April 25, 1960.
She was a stay at home mom who loved to cook and was very involved in her children’s youth baseball and football organizations. Many of her children’s friends remember Rose feeding them at her kitchen table, making care packages or carting food down to Cincinnati.
Also, she was an avid bowler actively participating in bowling leagues her entire adult life. Later in life, she worked at National Real Estate Co doing title searches. She enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren passing on her love of cooking and attending as many of their activities as possible.
Rose is survived by her sister Mary Ann (Ron) Schulay, her three sons, Rocco (Terri) DiGennaro Jr., Larry (Tracy) DiGennaro, and Joe (Laura) DiGennaro; her grandchildren, Victoria (Allan), Craig, Rocco, Deana (James); Margaret, Kevin, Thomas, Grace, Jane, Henry, and Charlie; Alison, Elizabeth, Nicholas; and her great-grandson, Grayson.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband Rocco, Sr.; her parents; her brother John Moronti; and her grandson Ryan Giambattista.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday July 24, at St. Luke Church in Boardman, with visitation at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the mass.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in memory of Rose DiGennaro to Crossroads Hospice Charitable Foundation, 10810 East 45th Street, Suite 300, Tulsa, OK 74146 (www.crhcf.org/Donate/) or to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901 (www.dementiasociety.org/donate).
