There will be funeral services at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017 at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica in Youngstown with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio celebrating the Mass for Roger L. “Rogo” Linebaugh, 84, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 7. He was born September 16, 1932 in Youngstown, the son of Thomas and Virginia (Hanes) Linebaugh. Roger was a South High graduate and courageously served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He then went on to work for 35 years at General Electric as a maintenance mechanic, retiring in August of 1985. Roger was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica where he was an usher, member of the Vestibule Club, and also worked the spaghetti dinners. He was a PCBA trustee for 16 years and a member of the Poland #4471 Knights of Columbus, where he served as a 4th degree Knight. He coached and managed girls softball for many years. Roger will always be remembered lovingly by his daughter, Michelle (Damian) DeGenova of Poland; 2 grandchildren, McKenna and Dante; 2 brothers, Thomas Linebaugh of Youngstown and Robert (Jacquelyn) Burks of Austintown; sister, Jean (David) Allen of Virginia and sister-in-law, Mimi Burks of Washington. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Linebaugh; step-father, Keith Burks, who reared him; brother, William Burks; and sister-in-law, Betty Linebaugh. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday June 11 at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman.
