Obituary for Leonard C. Good Sr.

There will be a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman for Leonard C. Good Sr, 79, who passed away Sunday evening, May 14. He was born April 4, 1938 in Smicksburg, PA, the son of Lawrence K. and Elsie (Hinton) Good. Leonard was a graduate of New Castle High School and courageously served his country in the U.S. Army as a marksman. He retired in 1980 as an inspector from G.M. Lordstown after over 35 years of service. His wife, the former Charlene Wilson whom he married September 4, 1959, passed away January 3, 2011. Leonard was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of U.A.W. #1714. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, playing the accordion, and building things out of wood. Leonard will always be remembered lovingly by his 4 children, Leonard Jr. (Deborah) Good of Austintown; Stephen (Susan) Good of North Carolina, Barbara Yonnotti, and James Good both of Boardman; brother, Jack (Barb) Good; 2 sisters, Darlene Good, and Loraine (Vincent) English; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, David Yonnotti. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 18 at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman.
