Obituary for Carmel J. Kozesky

Carmel J.  Kozesky
Carmel J. Kozesky, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 3, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 2, 1924 in Youngstown, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Pupino) Willmitch. Carmel attended Chaney High School. She worked at Mackenzie Muffler and then for Truscon Steel in the plant office. Her husband, Robert J. Kozesky whom she married September 28, 1950, passed away April 14, 2005. In her spare time, Carmel enjoyed cooking and baking pies for her granddaughters. Family was most important to her. She was a member of St. Christine Church. Carmel will always be remembered lovingly by her daughter, Lisa (Atty. David) Bobovnyik of Boardman; three grandchildren, Brittany, Brooke, and Bridget; sister, JoAnn Willmitch of Canfield; and brother, Robert Willmitch of Canfield. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David Joseph Kozesky; three brothers, Nicholas, James, and Infant Joseph Willmitch; three sisters, Connie O'Nesti, Gerry Skidmore, and Mary Louise "Dolly" Wylie. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 7 at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman, and again from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 8 at St. Christine Church in Youngstown, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. John Keehner celebrating. Memorial contributions may be made in Carmel's name to MVI Hospice Care, 4891 Belmont Avenue, Youngstown, OH 44505.
