There will be a funeral service at noon on Monday, August 8, 2016 at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral in Boardman, followed by a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Angela Merici Church, 400 Lincoln Park Drive in Youngstown, with Rev. Kevin Peters celebrating the life of Frank D. Thomas Jr., 45, who passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2016. He was born May 27, 1971 in Youngstown, the son of Frank D. Sr. and Angela Marie (DeSanctis) Thomas. He was a 1989 graduate of Girard High School and received his Bachelor's degree from Y.S.U. He was currently employed as a loan originator at Farmers National Bank, and was doing so for the past 25 years. Frank loved sports, especially college football, basketball, and baseball. He loved fishing and playing golf. He coached the Girard Little Indians football and basketball. He will always be remembered lovingly by his wife, the former Wendy Wade, whom he married on June 12, 2004; four children, Kyle F. and Zachari A. Jones; Caitlyn Lee and Makayla Lynn Trebella, all of Girard; his parents; two brothers, John Thomas of Struthers, and Michael (Christine) Thomas of Girard; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his beloved pets, The Pug and Raff. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2016, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman.
