Karen A. Jones, 68
Youngstown – There will be a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 9th at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman with Rev. John Keehner and Sister Isabelle Rudge, O.S.U. celebrating the services for Karen A. Jones, 68, who passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 29, 2011. Karen was born February 18, 1943 in Youngstown the daughter of Thorvald (Nero) and Patricia (Alexander) Thoresen. She was a graduate of South High School and had worked as a beautician and bar maid until her retirement. Karen was an avid Steelers and NASCAR fan and had a great love for dogs, especially her ‘nephews’ Chico and Piccolo. She will always be remembered by her sister, Georgette Doty of Boardman; and 3 step-sisters, Lorna Kuhley, Alice Doty and Mary Bash. Besides her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jones, her father George Doty, who raised her from a young age; and her step-brother, Robert Doty. The family would like to especially thank her good friends and neighbors, June, Joe and Tarzan.
